What is Logos

Logos Form and Report Manager ( LFRM ) enables you to integrate information systems with the web. For example, using LFRM one can easily build an interface for searching and viewing sport scores, adding contact information for organizations or clubs, loading data from a file, and creating reports that summarize sales.

Leveraging the power of the Joomla Content Management System, Logos specializes in database integration where many other software systems fail. Logos lets you interact with any database in any way you want. You can search for data, edit records, upload files, and generate links. It's up to you!

More than Forms and Reports

LFRM Professional enables websites to access and interact with many different types of database systems such as SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL and MS Access. Through this simple yet powerful enhancement, a typical website can become an information store and serves as a communication point between the users and organizations or businesses. Data from the database can be exported in many non-HTML output formats such as XML, PDF, JSON, and CSV. Numerous types and varieties of application can be developed using LFRM and customized to satisfy the most demanding of business or organizational requirements.

How It Works

Creating a form or report is easy using Logos. The Application Wizard will generate an application to add, edit, publish, and delete records in the Joomla database, some of the most typical database tasks. This tool not only reduces unnecessary errors and efforts but also dramatically reduces development time and budget costs, which in turns increases work productivity and benefits the business end users and organizations down the line.

Database Integration

Logos's interfaces is generic, meaning that you can interact with a variety of databases such as MS SQL Server, Oracle, Postresql, MySQL, and others. Simply create a SQL query and Logos will handle the generation of a form and the display of the results.  Use variables to control how user input and database output is handled. Logos helps you by removing the need to know a programming language to build sophisticated forms and reports.

You can use Logos to connect to existing systems such as systems as as Enterprise Resource Management or E-Commerce systems, or design your own system to fulfill your own requirements.

Choosing the Right Solution

We offer two commercial versions of LFRM as well as a free community version that address different users and requirements.

	LFRM Community Edition Logos Form and Report Manager Community Edition is a free version of Logos Form and Report Manager. Advanced features are not available, but you can still generate basic forms and reports for Searching and Viewing records in the database. You can use this version for free but OurDataSolution only offers support for the Standard and Professional versions. Watch the Logos Community Demo Video.
	LFRM Express Edition Logos Form and Report Manager Express Edition offers most of the standard features needed by non-technical people to manage data in the database.You can connect to any MySQL databases and the Application Wizard will generate the forms and reports that you need to manage data in those databases. Advanced features, such as the Editable Grid and Grid Filters, are not available. This version is suitable for those that have basic needs to search, add, edit, publish, unpublish, and delete records in the database. Watch the Logos Express Demo Video.
	LFRM Professional Edition Logos Form and Report Manager Professional Edition is a feature-rich version of LFRM which allows one to build complex, custom applications, and is the preferred version for web and IT professionals. Most notably, you can connect to databases such as MS Access, MS SQL Server, and Oracle, and you can use any SQL to produce your form or report. All advanced features, such as the Editable Grid, Grid Filtering, and Charting, are also available, as well as advanced optimizations such as Query Caching and Multiple Query Execution. System Requirements

In order to Logos, one must first have the Joomla 1.5 content management system. If you are not one of the millions of people already using this free software package, we encourage you to consider it for your future websites.

Logos Form and Report Manager requires a recent version of PHP ( PHP5+ ) and MySQL ( MySQL 5+ ). More specific system requirements can be found on our wiki.
